Year 2 News 10.07.26
English
This week we have completed more of our bee books. We have written about the types of bee in the hive and the parts of the hive. We have labelled a bee and learned all about the life cycle of a bee. We have also created a page on how bees make honey.
The children are really enjoying making these books and are fast becoming bee experts!
In our reading sessions we have been learning a class poem which we will perform in our annual summer poetry slam in the juniors next week.
Spelling
This week we have revised contractions. e.g. don’t, can’t, couldn’t, shouldn’t.
Maths
This week in maths we have been revising times tables ready for Year 3. Remember that TTRockstars is available to practise these facts.
Geography
This week we created a key for a map of our school grounds. We created symbols that we added to our map then drew a key to help someone read our maps.
Sports Day
We had a super time a sports day. Here are some photos!
