4SL Visit to Burnsall

On Tuesday, just before the second heatwave, 4SL went on their rearranged visit to Burnsall. We had a lovely day, with lots of children commenting on the beautiful scenery and really enjoying spending the day ‘in nature’ with their friends. More than one member of the public stopped to tell staff how polite the children were as they walked. The children did a great job of identifying human and physical features, and some children surprised themselves by how well they could use their maps to work out where they were. Shout out to the Red Lion pub, who served us our delicious ice creams on the green, and allowed us to use their toilets and facilities.

Sports Day

Another highlight of the week has to be sports day! The children did themselves very proud with their effort and enthusiasm, especially given the heat of the day. Well done to all the children who took part and thank you to those parents who were able to come and watch. Lots more photos can be found linked on Mr Harris’s blog.

Science Superstars

Today was the exciting final of our Science Superstars competition, and we are very pleased that we had a Year 4 winner!
