Headteacher blog 26th April 2024
It’s been a fine and busy week in school.
Year 2 have visited the Yorkshire Wildlife Park this week: probably our longest minibus trip on the curriculum. Many thanks to the volunteer drivers. The children had a lovely time.
Year 4 went to a skipping competition and we have had two U11 home football matches: scoring 12 goals and conceding just 1. Hopefully, the team will have won the U11 West League and will go forward to the Leeds Champions of Champions competition. (Sadly, no other primary schools in the area enter any competitive leagues so we play all our matches against Horsforth schools.) The quality of the football from the U11s was extremely high this week: a pleasure to referee and watch. Our pitch is much better than most other schools and this definitely helps.
