Yorkshire Wildlife Park Trip – 2BW

We had a fantastic day visiting Yorkshire Wildlife Park this week and learnt lots of interesting facts about animals and their habitats and diets.

We began our day with a workshop led by a member of the Yorkshire Wildlife Park team. She taught us all about where different animals life and how animals have adapted to their habitats. We looked at some artefacts belonging to different animals such as a camel’s fur and a lion’s teeth. She then introduced us to some of her friends – Madagascan hissing cockroaches and giant African land snails. Some of us were even brave enough to hold them!

We enjoyed a class picnic outside and had a play in the Jungle Lookout tree fort which was so much fun!

In the afternoon, we explored the park in search of lots of animals. We came across muddy polar bears, chatty otters, cheeky monkeys, a fierce tiger, sleepy leopards, tall giraffes, snoozing lions, funny meercats and cute wallabies that were looking after their babies!

Thank you to the minibus drivers, adult helpers and super, well-behaved children for making it such an enjoyable day!
