This week in Nursery

Visiting the farm

Last Friday and this Monday the children visited the farm and had a walk around the school grounds. Everyone had their wellies on and carefully walked through the mud. The children looked for signs of Spring as well as visiting the chickens and pigs. They saw the blossom on the trees and some vegetables growing in the polytunnel and the beds outside. Please show these pictures to your child and see what they can tell you about what they saw.

Number 4

We have continued to learn about the number 4. This week the children collected 4 objects from around Nursery.

Peace at last

The children are really enjoying this story and are pretending to be Mr Bear by saying “Oh no! I can’t stand this!”

Word study

Some of the children have been using the Mobilo to make models and explained that they were ‘transformers’ so this prompted us to talk about what the word transform means.

Dental Hygiene

This week two more children received their certificates to say they had been brushing their teeth twice a day. Well done boys!

Special visitor

On Wednesday a special visitor arrived in the Nursery outdoor area. We spotted a racing or homing pigeon on one of our hanging baskets. It seems to like the environment as it hasn’t left yet! We also saw a heron flying overhead and landing on the roof of a house opposite.

Lots of other fun!

Have a good weekend from the Nursery team
