It has been a slightly better week as regards COVID disruption at school with roughly a halving of child cases over the week, but the rate of infections amongst staff remains steady at about 6 or 7 a week this month. Attendance overall has risen towards 85-90% but this remains chronically low by historical standards.  It is very challenging to track who has missed what and who has managed to learn what whilst isolating. Sadly, I now dread Sunday and Wednesday evening calls as those are our regular LFD test days and my phone is often engaged…

We have had some highlights this week including Y2 enjoying a workshop about the 1960s with ‘Dan Tastic’ (that appeared to be his real name!). It is depressing to think that one’s childhood is now a history lesson!  I have also liked reading lots of super writing this week, including this mature piece from Kaleb:
