Phonics

This week, the children continued to explore the phoneme and grapheme for ‘t’. They practiced forming the grapheme and located it on a letter grid.

Concept words

The words this week are ‘narrow’ and ‘near’.

Maths

We have continued to explore patterns this week with a focus on ‘copying’. The adults created AB patterns, and the children copied them.

Easter egg competition

A huge well done to everyone who took part in this year’s competition, and a massive congratulations to our winner and runner-up.

Everything else

We have been learning about the reasons Christians celebrate Easter. Many of the children were excited about the prospect of receiving chocolate eggs, which symbolise new beginnings. The chicks have continued to be a highlight this week. We have enjoyed a variety of Easter-themed activities, including making cards and coloring eggs. The children also completed their pictures for the classroom lockers. We had a visit from some tadpoles! We’ll see more of them after the holidays.

Have a lovely break,

The Nursery Team
