Nursery Blog – 20.03.26
Unfortunately, the Story Bus had to cancel our visit this week. I am currently trying to schedule another date so that everyone can have a turn.
Phonics
This week, the children continued to focus on the grapheme/phoneme for the letter ‘a’. We practiced its formation and located the grapheme on a grid. Many children are still forming a clockwise circle, followed by a separate flick or line. We will continue to practice forming an anti-clockwise circle with the connected flick or line, ensuring it is done in one continuous motion without lifting the pen.

Maths
We continued exploring positional language this week, focusing on ‘on’, ‘under’, and ‘through’. We had fun demonstrating these positions on the apparatus in the hall.

Everything else
Several of our children had the opportunity to meet George Webster when he visited us for an assembly and signed books. We all enjoyed watching a video of him on CBeebies. We are eggcited for the eggs to hatch next week, so stay tuned for updates! The children have been making the most of the sunshine and spending time outside. We have played games, created drawings, and painted the windows!

Have a lovely weekend,
The Nursery Team
