Headteacher blog 19th September 2025
A rainy week at Farfield doesn’t dampen the spirits too much! The children are excited for the arrival of our new goats on Farfield Farm and we are enjoying some good harvests. This week the juicer has come out a couple of times and those children have enjoyed the freshest apple juice possible! Harvest Festival is next month and I have no doubt that some rather large pumpkins will be the stars! I am delighted that Mrs Kingsley has joined the staff team this year and is now able to work with children on the school farm and grounds each afternoon. She brings great knowledge and understanding of ecology and horticulture and is going to be a great asset for the school.
We have had a couple of parent meetings this week: a Y1 Phonics meeting and a ‘welcome’ coffee morning for the PTA. Both were well-attended. Partnership with parents and carers is very important and something that is a strength of our school. Thank you to all those that were able to attend.
