African Animals
In preparation for our trip next week, children have been researching African animals and thinking about how to group sentences by topic to write a non-chronological report. We used the Chromebooks to find answers to our own questions about lions, elephants, giraffes and zebras.

We then used a planning frame to collect facts about our favourite animal using the subheadings habitat, appearance and diet.

Next week, after our trip, we will write our own non-chronological report!
Measurement
This week we have finished our unit on measuring length and started to look at how heavy and light objects are by finding out about mass. Can you look out for examples of ‘real-life measuring’ at home such as weighing in grams when cooking?
George Webster Author Visit
We enjoyed meeting cbeebies presenter and author, George Webster on Tuesday.

Tinga Tinga Art
We have been practising drawing animals in TingaTinga style. We have started to create some final pieces using paints. We hope to finish these next week!
