Head teacher blog September 4th 2014
We are glad to be back. Honestly! It has been super to see all the children again and we have had a fabulous first week. Children looked very smart, many wearing our new school uniform. We have welcomed lots of new pupils to Farfield – in Nursery, Reception and across the school. We have been delighted to serve all the children in the infants with ‘free school meals’ and I would like to thank the kitchen, dining and admin staff for all their hard work in making this work so well. The new classroom is nearly complete (don’t worry, it’s not really needed until September next year) and it was like ‘Gardeners’ World’ in the new playground area as it was landscaped and ‘planted up’ today. We have also welcomed two new bee hives onto site in our new apiary area up on the top field. The only disappointment this week was a burglary on the farm during which our quad bike was stolen and our chicken enclosure was smashed open.
