Nursery Blog – 12.06.26
Phonics
In our phonics sessions, we introduced the phoneme and grapheme for ‘m’. We explored words that begin with ‘m’ and blended CVC words that start with ‘m’.
Concept words
This week, we have looked at the words ‘rough’ and ‘same’.
Maths
For our maths learning, we have looked at and practised creating line patterns and different arrangements. The children enjoyed making their own arrangements and sharing what they created.
Printing
The children explored a printing technique to create artwork. Some children found it challenging to add a simple pattern to the foam without damaging it. Despite the challenge, we still managed to produce some lovely pieces.
Everything else
The Story Bus visited us again this week. One of our previous sessions had been cancelled, so their return ensured that every child had the opportunity to go on the bus. Some of our fruits and vegetables have grown enough for us to taste. This week, we tried peas and strawberries, and we hope that even more will be ready for us to sample next week.
