Highwayman
This week we have started our new unit of English looking at the poem ‘The Highwayman’ by Alfred Noyes. The children worked really well with the themes and language of the poem and discussed their likes and dislikes. We then moved on to our first piece of writing for the term – a love letter! We collected lots of phrases to help us declare our love and the children have written some lovely pieces. Please see the attached work.
Homework
- English – mixed practice – word types pg 34, 35 and 36
- Maths – decimals and finding missing numbers
- Spelling Shed
- Maths bot – arithmetic/reasoning
- Extreme Reading every day
Have a lovely weekend!
