Year 6 6.2.26
Science – which is the best beak?
This week the children have been exploring adaptation; this week they have been learning about Charles Darwin and his theory of evolution: exploring how finches on the Galápagos Islands developed different beak shapes to suit the food sources available to them. The children conducted an investigation using a range of ‘beaks’ to find out which was best suited to certain types of food.
