Year 6 27.6.25
The School-O-Vision Song Contest
Rehearsals continued this week, and the children are becoming more confident in their lines. We are on the hunt for costumes so please let us know if you have any of the following you’d be willing to lend us for rehearsals and the performance:
* old ties
* sunglasses (cheap ones!)
* a clip-in fringe
* elastic bow tie
* a bald cap
* clear lens glasses or a pair of glasses with no lenses in.
* berets
Tickets
We will send an email today with information about tickets and a link to ParentPay for purchasing them. Tickets will be priced at £2 each, covering the performance licence and a 50p donation per ticket to support an end-of-year treat for Year 6 children. Unfortunately, spaces are limited due to fire regulations. This means that initially we will only be able to offer two tickets per child. We know that there are blended families, grandparents, siblings and friends who may want to come and watch the performance, and we are sorry that we can not offer a seat to everyone.
If there are any spares once all tickets have been purchased for the children in the Year 6 cohort, Mr Harris will let us know, and we will contact you with instructions on how to apply for them.
Pudsey Olympics
Some Year 6 children participated in the Pudsey Olympics this week and had a fabulous time. They came 4th overall: a wonderful result.
Here are some pictures of our Year 6 students.
Circuits
Our science unit this term is on circuits and the children this week have been working on using their knowledge of electrical symbols to create diagrams.
We first looked at this website and spent some time thinking about how we can change a circuit based on the components we use.

We then took the circuit challenge! Some children were able to reach the maximum level 18 – what level can you get to?
