English

We packed our bags and journeyed to the moon in our English lessons this week! We acted out the different things we could do on the moon such as collecting rock samples, hopping around and planting a flag and discussed how we felt at different points in our adventure. We then created a storyboard to show these different events before writing a diary entry for our lunar adventures.

Spelling

This week we have looked at the spelling rule or sounds like er after w. e.g. word, worm, world, worth. We also recapped when ar sounds like or after w e.g. warm, ward, swarm

Maths

Continuing our work on fractions, we have been exploring quarters and thirds this week. We then looked at how to find the whole and used bar models as a way of representing this.

Please use some time in the holidays to make sure you are confident with your number bonds, halves and doubles. Hit the Button is a great game for this!

This half term we have been learning the song, ‘Music is all Around’. Here are our final performances!

DT

In DT this week we began to design and plan for making our glove puppets.
