Designing CharactersandSettings We challenged Year 3 to use their imaginations and create their own characters and settings on WBD! Some children created characters based on ones they already knew and loved and some came up with brand new creations based on aliens, fairies and strange creatures (to name a few!). Book Swap The children loved taking part in the book swap too! There were so many exciting books to choose from – they were spoilt for choice! Thank you very much for your generous donations of books for this activity!

Blue Peter Book Badge Instead of the usual homework this week, we would like to give children the opportunity to take part in the Blue Peter Book Badge challenge! Here is an extract from the website to explain what children need to do! ‘To earn this badge all you need to do is tell us about a book you’ve enjoyed reading recently and draw a character or scene from the book. We’d also love to hear about any books that have sparked your imagination. So, what are you waiting for? Pick up a book, explore your school library, or become a member of your local library and you could be on your way to earning your very own Book badge!’
We would love for children to share their entries with us! If children have already completed their entry, maybe they could design a new cover for their favourite book or write a book review of a book they have read recently!
