Phonics
This week we have had a go at writing the words beard, food, duck and vest. We also practised saying and writing the sentence I fed some ducks. The tricky word is there.
Maths
We have been consolidating the children’s understanding of the composition of 5. We then moved onto the composition of 6,7,8 and 9 and explored seeing ‘5 and a bit’.

Harlow Carr
Both classes thoroughly enjoyed their day out at Harlow Carr. The children learnt about making different colours using oil pastels, looking for shapes in the outdoor environment and creating pictures using fallen flowers and leaves. The children spotted lots of colours and patterns. They then had the chance to develop their physical skills – lots of climbing and running!
A huge thank you to our parent volunteers, we couldn’t do these trips with you!

Cracking Coconuts!
This week, our mystery fruit was a coconut. We had fun trying to open it with a hammer!

Everything Else…

Have a lovely weekend.
