Headteacher’s blog 2/2/18
Year 5 are studying the Anglo-Saxons this half term and they went on the 72 bus to Leeds City Museum for a workshop to support their studies. Travelling by bus was actually part of the educational purpose of the trip: providing a new experience for some of them and opening their eyes to the benefits of public transport. We had good feedback from the workshop and educational visits like this can really enrich the curriculum. Later in the year, Year 4 will be going to Murton Park to spend a day like a Viking: we love history at Farfield!
This week we have commissioned Parent pay to provide online payments services for the school. This should prove to be very useful and convenient for families and our admin team; we hope to go live with this from after the Easter holidays but communications and set up will begin after half term.
