It has been a good week in Key Stage 1 with both year groups having special days. Year 1 welcomed local artist and Farfield parent Kate Park to school for a glass art workshop during which each child made a piece of glass-based artwork. On Thursday, Year 2 enjoyed a 1960s-themed workshop with an organisation called Moving Words and welcomed parents to their performance at the end of the afternoon.
Meanwhile, in Year 3 things smell a bit fishy as the children have been trying to mummify a couple of mackerel! Miss Micklethwaite’s not daft: both fish have ended up in Mr Beever’s larger room! Year 4 have been perfecting their performance of the Star Wars theme using boomwhackers and Nursery have been setting up a ‘Monster Cafe’ which was opening for business on Friday afternoon.
