It has been a very long half-term – eight weeks – and staff and children alike have earned a good half-term break. Our Reception children have generally settled in well and our new staff have all made really strong starts to their time at Farfield. Parents’ evenings this week went well and there was a positive atmosphere.
On Tuesday night, 64 Y5/6 children in the Show Time club really enjoyed The Lightning Thief at Bradford Alhambra. Other theatre goers and theatre staff commented on how well-behaved the Farfield children were which is always good to hear. Personally, I am most looking forward to ‘Matilda!’ next month.
On Thursday and Friday, Year 6 classes visited The Armouries at the start of their new topic on World War 1. We are lucky to have this fabulous museum so close and the children will have learnt so much already.
Have a great half term and we will see everyone fresh-faced in November!
