Headteacher blog 23/5/25
We come to the end of what may have been the sunniest and driest half term in the history of formal education! It has been lovely to make the most of this weather at playtime, lunchtimes and on a wide range of trips. It was especially helpful to have the great weather this week as Y5 have been on residential in the Yorkshire Dales. I went up with 5KH Mon-Wed and 5B have been up since Wednesday. The great weather contrasted starkly with the biblically wet conditions last May (see last image). The children have enjoyed a waterfall walk, night walk, mountain biking, caving and a river study. Huge thanks go to the staff, many of whom were up on Sunday setting up. Particular thanks to Mrs Hawkhead and Mrs DuPreez who have basically been working 24 hours a day since Sunday.
