Forces and Rovers in 5
Hi all,
Wow! What another busy week!
We have begun reading a new class text all about Mars rovers. The children are enjoying reading the explanation of how it works.
We performed some interviews of NASA scientists, using the text to help us give the answers.
In science, we did an investigation into gravity. We tried to proove how was right Aristotle or Gallileo. We found out that all things fall at the same speed in a vacuum. The only thing that slows objects down is air resistance.
Here are some photos of us testing this.

In Maths we have begun work on fractions, finding equivalent fractions. Please ensure that your child completes their homework.
Next week, bikeability lessons will start. Your child should have recieved a letter on Friday, detailing which group they are in. If you have replied to Mrs Hawkhead that you will bring a bike and or a helmet, please do so on that day.
We have begun rehearsals for the Christmas production of What time is it Mr Wolf? which is going well. Thank you for any efforts learning lines over the hoidays. If your child has not yet recieved their part, we will be allocating the smaller parts and extra jobs next week. We have given out a sheet with suggested outfits. Any help in providing these will be greatly appreciated. Any child playing an animal will need eith some animal coloured clothes or a furry Onesy. We will be providing masks for them. For example, if they are a mouse, some grey or brown clothes would be ideal.
We hope you have a fantastic weekend,
Mr Beevers and Mrs Kroon
