Farsley Farfield Primary School

Head Teacher blog 15th January 2016

At last we have a bit of sunshine!  It has been a good week at Farfield, with all the children working hard and achieving well. I have shown yet more prospective parents around school today, including some in-year transfers, and they are always complimentary about the school and what we can offer. One of the prospective parents was a secondary school leader of literacy and she was very impressed by the work in the Year 5 and 6 books that we looked at!

On Wednesday and Thursday, Year 1 visited Cartwright Hall Gallery in Bradford and had a lovely day. They are being artists themselves now and they have a special visitor next week.  Year 2 are off to York’s Castle Museum next week as part of their work on the 1960s and 1970s. I do feel old when my childhood is now a history lesson!
