Y5/6 discover the source of the Aire and have a great day around Malham

On Friday, class 5H were the first of three classes visiting Malham over the next couple of weeks. The children followed OS maps to discover the source of the river Aire and then enjoyed a walk to Janet’s Foss and the spectacular Gordale Scar where we splashed around in the water and rocks. After a period of self-navigation, the children then experienced the limestone pavement at the top of Malham Cove and the hundred of steps that make up the descent.
