During the remembrance assembly the KS2 children learned about the names on the Farsley Cenotaph and about who they were as people. Money raised for Unicef

On World Maths Day, the children and staff came dressed as penguins and completed maths lessons around the mathematical book: 365 Penguins. Through sponsorship of their Mathletics work and other fund-raising, the school raised a superb £1700 towards helping refugees (donated to UNICEF) and this has been match-funded by the government. Maths and Raising Money for Syrian Refugees

The school community – parents, staff and children – have all shown concern for the plight of Syrian refugees. After discussion at School Council, arrangements have been made to combine some maths learning with fundraising. Please find letters and a sponsorship form attached.
