Headteacher’s blog 20th September 2024

It has been a glorious week of weather and fun at Farfield this week – perhaps a final blast of summer. The weather stayed fair for our Rainbow Run on Saturday and people seemed to have a great time. Our PTA really are an outstanding group of people!

We also launched our Show Time club for children in Years 5 and 6: a chance to enjoy a variety of six West End-quality shows over the year. A parent has offered to cover the costs of an additional two children to attend the club whose families may have found it difficult to cover the costs – a very kind ‘good citizen’ gesture for which we are very grateful.

Favourite quote of the week from a colleague leading a session on the farm: “I took the Y3s to the orchard to eat apples. It took ages ‘cos they’ve got no front teeth!”
