It is the end of a very wet half-term. In almost 20 years, I don’t remember the site ever being so saturated for such a long period – it feels like many months! Lots of sporting fixtures have been cancelled or postponed. Cross country events, in particular, have been cursed: the Leeds finals the latest to succumb on the snowy Thursday.

It’s been a good half term of learning, without distractions of Christmas or summer events. Staff will be starting our brief mid-year reports over the break and we have SEND review meetings and parents evenings for most year groups in March. Hopefully, parents will feel that they are well-updated about their children’s progress so far this year.

Despite the weather, 4Ke still managed to visit Murton Park on Thursday and spent the day as Saxons. This is always a good trip and the children will have learned a lot and enjoyed the day. On Monday, a group of KS2 children attended an enjoyable inclusive sporting event called a ‘Pantathlon’ at John Charles and they seemed very pleased with their medals having come third overall. We have also finalised plans for Y5 and for Y6 residential: wonderful weeks to look forward to in the summer!

I hope that families and colleagues all have a very restful and enjoyable half-term break.
