Headteacher blog 13th October 2024
It has been a lovely week at school and the children have settled well into their new classes. It is also good to see all our new members of staff already contributing well to school.
This weekend we have the big Rainbow Colour Run organised by the PTA. It should be an enjoyable, exciting event – I just can’t quite picture what it is going to be like and how the grounds will look afterwards! There will be a lot of paint powder, water and mud: don’t wear your best clothes or footwear!
Yesterday afternoon there were two special moments up at the school farm. Firstly a beautiful, sparkly web appeared across the pig sty entrance, immediately reminding some children of the classic book Charlotte’s Web. Later on, a farming group in the more remote part of the orchard spotted honey combs in the branches of a tree. We are awaiting some advice as to whether we can harvest it.
