Happy Holidays! Year 6 19.12.25

We have come to the end of our first full term in Year 6 and what a wonderful term we have had. Well done to all of the children who have staggered to the end of the week which has been full of performances, fun and learning. Thank you for your cards and thoughtful gifts – we appreciate your ongoing support and generosity.

PSHE

We have been looking at the risks associated with drugs – including legal drugs such as caffeine and painkillers. Children worked in groups to make informative presentations which they gave to the class. They were mature and sensible throughout and gave great advice to given scenarios – well done Year 6.

Science

Mirrors mirrors everywhere! We have reached the end of our unit on light and this week, the children investigated mirrors. How can we read notes under the table using a mirror? Which numbers and shapes have symmetry? Can we write a note for our partner, stick it on their back and use mirrors to see it?

Homework
