Year 5 this week
Good morning parents and carers,
This week in year five we have continued to complete lots of geography lessons in preparation for residential. We learnt about the water cycle and waterfalls.

This week 5KH learnt about the water cycle. Here are some photos of us creating water cycles in a bag.
We enjoyed learning about life cycles in science and 3D modeling in computing.
In English we have continued to practise different grammar objectives in preparation for writing a diary based on the Hobbit. We have learnt about model verbs and parenthesis. The children enjoyed creating a thought tunnel and thinking of reasons for and against the hobbit going on an adventure.
In maths we have been learning about angles. First we estimated and then we were excited to learn how to use a protractor to measure angles.
If you have any questions about residential please dont hesitate to contact Mr Beevers or myself.
