Farsley Farfield Primary School

Head teacher blog March 28th 2014

It was wonderful to see so many families at Parents’ Evening this week and feedback from teachers was overwhelmingly positive. Where any difficulties have been identified – academic or social/emotional – I am confident that we will be able to turn things around.

It has been a typically busy week at Farfield, having been unaffected by the NUT strike on Wednesday. Year 2 have all been on trips to a working farm in Goole courtesy of The Co-operative. Year 1 have continued their fantastic books about chickens and across the school there are seeds being planted and seedlings being nurtured. Tadpoles are hatching from spawn and our new grounds-person begins next week so that the grass can be cut! Year 6 are gearing up for their residential immediately after Easter and they are preparing for their SATs in May. We are also looking forward to the launch of our new website next week.
