Head teacher blog 6th June 2014
It is good to be back in school but we wish that we were getting real summer term weather! Despite the regular rain, we have started the half term well, especially in Y3. 3C and 3CW visited RHS Harlow Carr in Harrogate to learn all about seeds as well as enjoying the gardens, woodland and play areas. 3C also went to Calverley this week and won a ‘decathlon’ multi-sports competition. Children in the Foundation Stage have been enjoying their new outdoor play area and across the school the children have been learning about the World Cup or the Tour de France. I also had the pleasure of a sunny afternoon at Rawdon Tennis Club, privileged to be part of a superb tennis lesson for some children in Y5/6 from the resident coach Jonathan Sowden: great facilities and really expert teaching.
