It has been such a busy seven days at Farfield!
Last weekend we hosted our first Camp-Over and I was so proud of the PTA’s efforts and the way that the school community came together for a really special event. Over 200 people spent the night on site, and a further 250 people were day visitors.
On Monday the builders arrived and now work has begun on the new KS2 classroom. Throughout the week, children have been out and about, with Year 1 visiting Skipton Castle and a big family visit to Hesketh Farm for Nursery. 3CW enjoyed a big sporting competition at Springbank (who must be getting tired of being whooped by Farfield) and next week we are sending teams to a mini-Olympics at the John Charles Centre and a big scooter and cycle competition at Temple Newsam that is part of the Grand Depart celebrations.
Children working on the farm are enjoying some of our first harvests as they tuck into fruits and vegetables such as peas, radishes, beans, loganberries and strawberries.
This is what summer should be all about.
