Farsley Farfield Primary School

Head teacher blog 21st March

The school has gone ‘Sports Relief’ mad today: we have singing, wacky sports kit, scooters, bikes and dancing. Many thanks to all the staff and families for their support with this.  Earlier in the week 6W went to AWM Recycling Plant and reported that it was a ‘rubbish’ trip and a ‘waste of time…’  Last Saturday, lots of staff and some parents got together for a morning’s work in the infant Conservation Area; we raised the tree canopy, cleared shrubs and litter and worked on the pond. Today we will receive our new safety grill for the pond (courtesy of the PTA) and soon the children will have break time access to this space for quiet play and science investigations. Today, Reception children have also been to St John’s church for a mock wedding and baptism – the children looked very smart and we thank Rev Tudge for his help once again.
