Head teacher blog 15th May 2015
It has been a very busy week – mainly dominated by KS2 SATs. Year 6 have worked incredibly hard over the months and this week was a chance for them to really shine and show what they can do. The children should be very proud of theirs efforts this week. The tests are now finished for this cohort but there is still so much of the curriculum to be taught and learned as we move into the latter stages of the school year.
Year 2 have been very busy with their SATs too and this will continue into next week as well. Years 3-5 have also been completing assessment tests this week.
Other highlights from the week include: an ‘animals workshop’ in Year 1 which took place on Monday; a Year 4CW trip to Magna on Thursday; a Year 1 trip to Tropical World today (Friday); and some more Year 5 children cycling at Otley Chevin.
Next week, Year 5 will visit the Yorkshire Dales on their residential.
