Year 2 News 5.09.25

We have had a super first week in Year 2! We have been getting to know our new teachers and have been doing lots of fun activities on our class animals. We have also been looking at our learning hive and school rules.

2BW have created some fantastic squirrel pictures!

2La have made some amazing fox pictures

We have been on a treasure hunt around the classroom to find out where things are!

We talked about how we learn best and how we can become great learners by having a growth mindset.

We have started our new phonics lessons which includes paired reading. We learned how to work together with a partner and read each sentence 3 times!

In maths we have started our place value topic. Today we made numbers using tens and ones.
