Year 1 News – 2.4.26

English

This week, we have looked at concrete poems. We started the week by looking at some daffodils and coming up with lots of right choice words. We used these words to write our own daffodil concrete poems.

Maths

We have had lots of fun learning about Length and Height. The children have been using non-standard units and rulers to measure.

Art

The children have been looking closely at daffodils. They then used watercolour paints to create an observational painting.

Visits from a Doctor

Thank you to Elyssia’s auntie for coming to talk to the children about being a doctor.

Easter Competition

Well done to everyone who took part in the Easter Competition. All the entries were eggcellent!
