Christmas is dominating things at Farfield this week with eight children participating in the brilliant Town Hall Christmas Concert with the inspiring Leeds Youth Orchestra, two lovely performances of the Foundation Stage Nativity and lots of rehearsals for KS1 and KS2 performances next week. As well as marking Christmas, these performances are good for children’s development of confidence and public speaking. We also held a successful Christmas Fair on Wednesday, raising over £1000 for the exciting things that the PTA fund.
Also this week, we have had some Year 3 children visiting a synagogue, Y1 visiting St John’s church, another Y3 class visiting the Media Museum and a Reception class visiting Santa at the Abbey House Museum. Furthermore, Y6 have benefitted from a session with volunteers from Santander who have delivered lessons on financial awareness. A Y6 team also took part in the West Leeds Athletics Plate finals and competed well.
