We have been writing sentences about the Arctic. Children described the northern lights, polar bears, icebergs and other features. We then read the story ‘Poles Apart’ by Jeanne Willis. The story tells of a family of penguins getting lost and meeting a polar bear in the North Pole! The children wrote sentences about their travels together.
Spellings
This week we have been learning the Year 2 common exception words: Mr, Mrs, Christmas, child, children.
Maths
We have been learning about 3D shapes this week counting faces, edges and vertices. We will continue our shape work the first week back.






Art
We have been busy making cards and calendars for you; We hope you like them!



Party
We had lots of fun at our party on Thursday!
