Headteacher blog November 4th 2022
It has been a super week in school. I have done school tours and a number of lesson observations this week and I know that prospective parents have been impressed by what we have to offer. Every classroom that we go into feels calm and purposeful and there is a real warmth evident in Read…

Harvest Festival 2022
Both junior halls were packed for our first Harvest Festival since 2019. The stage was full of generous donations for our St George’s Crypt appeal, and this was supplemented by the end of our Farfield Farm harvest. On the stage, we also had wonderful scarecrows for the PTA competition. Thank you to everyone for Read…

Headteacher blog 14th October 22
It has been a glorious week at Farfield: but dramatic too. Year 3 were enjoying a fabulous sunny Stone Age Day on Thursday when disaster struck. Stalking a ‘deer’ on a hunt with our bows and arrows, we accidentally stepped on a wasp nest in the long grass. The wasps defended themselves and, sadly, Read…

It’s great to be back in school and we have had, overall, a very positive week. We were very busy on Monday trying to put the infant building back together after very extensive (and messy) fire-stopping work over the summer. Many hands made light(er) work, but we were still cleaning on Tuesday morning and Read…

Outstanding SATS results – well done everyone!
We had our first SATs since 2019 this summer. Our children did spectacularly well, with standards appearing to be well above national averages. Despite all the COVID disruption, our Y6 children produced the best set of results for a decade. Well done!
