Head teacher blog 23rd October
Happy Diwali to all our Hindu and Sikh families!
It has been a long eight week half term but I think it has been a very successful one. There has been a good working atmosphere in school and sampling of books has been pleasing. We have had two very positive and well-attended Parents’ Evenings this week and the feedback from parents suggests that 99% of the school community are happy with the start that their child has made to this new school year. Year 1 have had a very enjoyable trip to Ilkley Theatre to support their literacy lessons and Key Stage 2 children have concluded PE modules including work at Gym Magic, Pudsey Judo and Rawdon Tennis Club. Yesterday we also held a poignant assembly in honour of Mrs Woodley who has retired as a lunchtime supervisor after 25 years at Farfield – what a wonderful member of staff she has been!
