Year 6 19.4.24

This week the children have returned to school after the heartbreaking loss of one of their classmates, Matilda, over the Easter holidays. It has been a truly sad time and will continue to be something that we grieve together. Our pastoral support team are always on hand should you feel that your child is not coping well – do let us know if you think they might need some further support than that which they are already accessing. We are trying to continue as normal and give each other grace and time to come to terms with the news. We took time to share some of our memories of Matilda this week and send our love, thoughts and prayers to her family.

Rail Safety

Years 5 and 6 took part in a Rail Safety assembly this week led by Leeds United! The children listened so well and participated fully learning about the rules around keeping safe when close to the railways. Year 6 will follow this up with a visit and workshop to Leeds Train Station on Friday 24th May. We will send a letter home about this in coming weeks.

SATS breakfast club

As you are aware, SATs week runs from Monday 13th May until Thursday 16th May 2024. This year we will be providing a SATs breakfast club from 8:15am for all Year 6 children should they wish to have breakfast with their peers. Your child should have brought home a letter but just in case, it can be found here: Letter here
