Year 6 07.06.24 – The Stage Beckons…

Production

Our production rehearsals kicked off in style this week with the children working hard on their scenes and lines from our summer performance of Pirates of the Curry Bean. Our performance this year will be Wednesday 17th July @ 7pm.

As our performances are usually sell-out events, we will initially be restricting tickets to 2 per family to ensure all children have someone there watching them if they can and to comply with fire regulations. Tickets will be £2 each. If we have spare tickets available after the deadline for payment we will offer them out to families. More information will be sent to you in due course – for now please put the date in your diaries: it’s sure to be an amazing show!

Calling all costumes!

As we start rehearsals we need your help! Do you have any of the following that you’d be happy to donate to us for our show? (All costumes to fit children aged 10/11+)

  • Plain white t shirts (which will be cut up to befit a pirate)
  • Old school shorts (which will be cut up)
  • Plain black t shirts (these can be returned)
  • An apron
  • Any pirate costume – hats, hooks, patches, bandanas!

DT – a request

At this time of the year we traditionally make bird boxes to be put up around our site and to be used at home in your gardens. Do you have any ‘decent’ wood (of any size) that you could spare to make bird boxes with? If you’ve come to the end of a DIY project or are saving some old decking for a rainy day that you can spare please let us know.
