Year 5 Residential 2025 5KH Day 1 so far

5KH have been a fantastic group to take away so far!

Everything has gone according to plan so far, typically a few minutes ahead of schedule as they are so quick. After arriving at the lodge, having lunch and making our beds, we headed off to Ingleton Waterfall walk. Mr Harris was impressed by the children’s geographical knowledge of rivers and basic geology. We were concerned that there may not be any water but the falls were still beautiful even though they were smaller than usual. We ended with a paddle in the river and some of the girls decided that they wanted to get completely drenched! After that, we headed to the chip shop which opened especially for us! Once we got back to Gearstones, we had (vegan) jelly and fruit and then had an hour of recreation before the evening activities.

Tonight, we are splitting into two groups for a night walk and a trip to a local church and grave yard. We may update again later.
