Trips to the mosque

This week Year 4 had two very successful visits to Lincoln Green Mosque. Both classes behaved brilliantly and did a super job of representing Farfield. The volunteers who ran the activities were very impressed with the knowledge of our children and with their thoughtful questions. At the mosque, we completed a treasure hunt and played an observation game to learn more about the features of mosques and some important Islamic artefacts.  We listened to the call to prayer and observed the congregational prayers. We also watched a demonstration of the ritual of Wudu.

English

In English, we finished writing and editing our legends. It has been fantastic seeing the children writing so enthusiastically and taking pride in their work, trying to include all of the story features that we have been practising. Well done everyone!

Maths

In maths, we have been working on our 11 and 12 times tables. The children are getting very good at spotting patterns and making links between the different times tables to help work out facts they do not yet know.

Homework

  • Times tables sheet / TT Rockstars
  • Spelling sheet
  • Extreme Reading (5 x per week)

Have a lovely weekend!
