This week in English, we have been working on our bee non- fiction books. Children have been writing pages about parts of a bee, the hive and the bee life cycle this week. Here are some examples:

We have also written a recount for our trip to Skelton Grange.

Maths

In maths, we are revising multiplication and division. Please keep practising counting in 2s, 5s, 10s and 3s. can children recall the times table and division facts up to 12 x?

Geography

We have been using aerial photographs of the farm this week. We reviewed the 4 compass points and used the aerial photo to navigate the farm. Some features had changed since the photo was taken and we added the new features on. It was tricky to work out what some of the features were from above! We found lots of features including the poly tunnels, the orchard, the raised beds, the junior playground and the chickens.

Music

Children in both classes put together their final performance of The Sunshine Song!
