Maths
In maths we have be learning to tell the time. We have used clocks to practise telling the time for o’clock and half past. We have also enjoyed solving true or false problems with a partner.

Geography
We have recapped the four seasons in geography. We have learnt that we are now in the season of summer. We have recorded the weather this week and compared it to the weather in winter, autumn and spring. The temperature has been milder than other seasons but unfortunately we have still seen lots of clouds rain!

We have also looked at human and physical features. We learnt that human features are features that would not be there without a human. We learnt that physical features appear naturally.
History
In history we have continued with our work on Grace Darling. This week we discussed the enquiry question ‘Did Grace really carry out the rescue on her own?’. We looked at different pictorial representations of the rescue and had fun acting the pictures out.

Year 2
The children had lots of fun meeting their new teachers on Thursday morning.
1B will be moving to 2BW and their new teachers will be Mrs Barker and Mrs Wilson. Mrs Barker will be teaching the children on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Mrs Wilson will be teaching them on Thursday and Friday.
