PSHE
We have been thinking about special occasions in PSHE this week and the different food and drink that might be associated with different celebrations. We discussed why the food we eat on special days is different to the everyday food that we eat. Then, we all drew a picture of some food that we had eaten on a special occasion.

Science
During our science lesson, we continued to look at trees. We investigated the enquiry question ‘Are all tree trunks the same?’. The children looked at three different trees on our school grounds (oak, silver birch and apple) and compared their trunks by taking bark rubbings and measuring their circumference.
