Y2 End of Year News

We would like to say a big thank you to all of our Year 2 children and families for a super year. The children have come into school every day with a positive attitude and have tried hard to be ready, respectful and kind. We wish you all a very happy and fun summer holidays.

Here are a few photos of the children enjoying their last week (and 2 days) of Year 2:

Honey Biscuits

This last week the children have been finishing their bee books. We hope you enjoy reading them at home! Children have made honey biscuits as part of our Bee mini topic. You can find the recipe in the children’s bee books if you would like to make them at home!

Geography

In geography, we have been using maps to find our way around the juniors and farm. Last week we completed an orienteering course. We created a route around 7 cones and collected a letter at each cone. Then we had to work out the seven letter word. Yesterday, we looked at how keys help us to understand a map. We added symbols onto our maps and created a key.

Skipathon

On Friday we had a skip-a-thon. Children counted how many of each type of skip they could do. We finished with a class skip off; our champions were Rayyan and Amaya!
